Fig BBQ Sauce

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ripe figs,
  • 1 large apple
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ground ginger
  • Juice of three lemons
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup pineapple juice or 1/2 pineapple chopped in food processor
  • 1 teaspoon star anise ground or fennel seeds
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup Xagave or brown sugar.
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
  1. Place figs and apples in food processor and chop.
  2. Place chopped fruit and all other ingredients except BBQ sauce in sauce pan and simmer until thick.
  3. Add BBQ sauce and enjoy.
