Carne Qesado (Marinated beef with sauce Dominican Style)

Carne Qesado (Pantry Members)

Ingredients
  • 3 lbs thin slice sirloin steak
  • 6 Roma tomatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large sweet green chili
  • 2 tablespoons Chef Brad’s Caribbean Spice Blend
  • 2 small cans of tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
Instructions
  1. Cut steak into small pieces. Add chopped onion, chili, tomato, and seasoning. Mix well. In large pan place oil, adding sugar. Heat until sugar starts to turn dark. Remove meat from onions and tomatoes. Place just the meat into the hot sugar and oil. Saute for about 20 minutes or until liquid is cooked up. Add left over vegetables and juice from beginning meat seasoning and tomato sauce. Simmer for 20 minutes for pressure for 10. Serve over rice
  2. Salad for this meal is cut up tomatoes, cucumbers, and leaf lettuce. Place in large bowl, leaving lettuce whole and drizzle with equal parts vinegar, oil and salt to taste.
