Old Fashioned Buttermilk Teff Bread |

- 3 cups hot water
- ¾ cup buttermilk powder OR 3 cups hot buttermilk
- 1 cube melted butter
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 cup whole teff grain
- 2 cups fresh ground barley flour
- 2 cups fresh ground white wheat flour
- 3 to 5 cups natural white flour
- 2 teaspoons dough enhancer
- 3 tablespoons yeast
- Place all ingredients in mixing bowl, placing the yeast on top and holding back on some of the flour.
- Turn on machine and add remaining flour until dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Knead for 6 minutes.
- Divide dough into 2 equal pieces and form round freestanding loaves.
- Place on parchment lined baking pan and let rise to double.
- Place in a 400 degree oven for five minutes and drop temp. to 325 degrees
- Bake for about 20 minutes longer or until internal temp. reaches 180 degrees.
